BARENATE GEL 11, the main component of which is a glyceryl acrylate/acrylic acid copolymer, is a water-soluble, non-drying lubricant with good moisturizing properties, which can be widely used in gel cosmetics, especially eye care cosmetics.

Product Characteristics

1. It has excellent water solubility, moisturizing property, and smoothness, and the most noteworthy feature is its moisturizing property, because BARENATE® GEL 11 molecules have a strong bonding force with water, so the moisturizing property is very good;


2. BARENATE® GEL 11 forms a protective film on the skin's surface, maintaining the skin's high water content and its original moisturizing properties;


3. BARENATE® GEL 11 is not only slippery but also water-soluble. BARENATE® GEL 11 has good slip and is more soluble in water, which makes it suitable for pharmaceutical applications;


4. Its viscoelasticity and thickening properties allow it to be used in skin care formulations such as clear essences; 


5. Stability is maintained in the pH range of 5-9;


6. If electrolytes, metal salts, etc. are present in the system, the consistency will be reduced.

Viscosity measurement

Determination method:

It was prepared into 2%, 4%, 5%, 6%, 8%, 10%, 15%, 20% aqueous solution with deionized water, and then the viscosity of the aqueous solution was determined respectively. The results are shown in the table below.
